The business was started by Susan who has a lifetime's experience working with all manner of pets;
dogs, cats, ponies, rabbits,
poultry, sheep, cows and goats
all small animals, fish, caged birds,
Growing up, Susan’s ponies were kept on a farm where she spent most of her childhood. She was regularly involved in helping to care for sheep, cows, goats, hens and ducks.
Susan has been dog walking and pet sitting since the early 1990s and spent several years as a veterinary assistant; learning how to administer medication, care for sick and injured animals and how to handle animals that may be stressed and in pain, in a sympathetic manner. Susan has regularly cared for elderly pets with special requirements and also assists on a weekly basis at puppy and dog-training classes; instructing owners in how to train their dogs.
A keen hill walker, Susan is very used to the outdoor life, in all weather conditions! Her own dog, a Bedlington Terrier called Lily, accompanies her everywhere! They are often to be seen on ferries to the Hebrides or at the summit of a far flung munro.
